The Power of Words

This last Sunday our pastor taught us about the power of words and their ability to create the world around us. He encouraged us that that the words we speak today are prophecy of our future and most of our present situations are a reflection of the words we spoke yesterday. I have seen this proved true. For instance our pastor spoke to us in a little restaurant where we used to meet; now we meet in our own sanctuary which was actually a Hindu temple. Nearly every Sunday when we were in the restaurant he would say we are moving to our own sanctuary and now are in it and have outgrown it. Now the pastor speaks of a ten-thousand seater. Watch this space.

Reflection:
Have you ever considered the power that your words have? Every moment that you open your mouth to speak, you are actually making your world.When you speak positive words, encouraging words, loving words you are elating your world. On the other hand if you speak negative, discouraging, unloving words you are depressing your world. I want to encourage you to deprive your speech of negative words, such words like"I cannot afford it", I cannot do it", "I am always a failure", or "I cannot keep a relationship" should NEVER be part of your speech. Instead use words like "I will afford it", "I can do it", "I am a winner", and "I can have
a fruitful relationship". The Holy Book, the Bible, tells us that God created the world with His own words-He spoke and there it was. You too, like your creator, possess the power to speak your world into being. Purpose from today to always speak positive words!
